Container Garden Succulents

Have fun putting different things together to create a unique and different pairing of plants!  Container planting can be so fun!!  I love to plant up pots either for displays or to help people find that perfect pot combo for their poolside, front door or for their patios.  Here I have combined an Agave, Euphorbia ‘Sticks of Fire’, Crown of Thorns and a little Sedum.  It is important to remember when putting different things together to consider the water requirements of everything as well as the sun tolerance.  If you just HAVE to put in something that needs a little more water than the rest, be careful to only water that one particular plant as to not rot the rest.  The most important thing to remember is to have fun and pick out what you like and put it together.  If you decide you don’t like the way it’s growing together, take it out and put in a different plant.  There is no wrong or right way to combine to create that perfect combination.  The common “thing” you might hear is that you need height (a plant that is higher than the others), a middle or low plant and then something that spills out.  You can do this, but I can show you many pots that I have not and they look fantastic.  Plant what you like and have fun!   That is the best part of container planting, you can mix and match and move things around much easier than putting it in the ground.  Experiment!  Have fun!
